Cognate Courses

The Cognate Course listings are a way of making known courses from an outside department that a student may take toward satisfying a degree, minor, or honors requirement. These listings are available in individual departmental sections of the Stanford Bulletin.

Note that Cognate Course listings are not necessarily comprehensive, but are offered as a convenience. Students must check with their department's student services office or with the Stanford Bulletin to determine the applicability of a course to a degree, minor, or honor program.
