Bulletin Calendar and Workflow

Deadlines for 2017-18

For specific deadlines for changes in courses, see Course and Scheduling Entry Deadlines. Also see the Scheduling Timetable page.

  • March 13: ExploreDegrees-nextyear open for Bulletin (degree requirements) changes

  • Commencement through mid-July: Training and work-together sessions for Stanford Bulletin, to be announced:

  • July 13:  Projected deadline for online Bulletin (ExploreDegrees) via Courseleaf.

  • July 20: Axess, ExploreDegrees and ExploreCourses live

    • This is early opening date to give student 10 days prior to Axess opening to examine degree requirements and courses.

  • August 1: Axess opens

Workflow

1. Faculty provide text

Collect changes from responsible faculty for transfer to the new Bulletin.

Mission Statement

  • required of all departments and programs
  • for undergraduate and graduate programs

Degree Requirements

  • required of all departments and programs
    • make sure that the degree name and structure matches hat has been entered in PeopleSoft. If you are in doubt about this, contact Stephen <arod@stanford.edu>
  • a clear, unambiguous statement of how to get a degree
  • required by agreement with WASC
  • RO staff happy to work with faculty and staff to improve degree requirement statement

Degree Requirements: Course Lists

  • each requirement should have a complete list of courses which satisfy that requirement

2. Staff review text for technical standards

  • Departments are responsible to submit copy that is reasonably free of errors. Please check for:
    • typographical errors
    • grammatical errors
    • errors of fact
    • style errors

3. Input text to via Courseleaf

Mastheads

  • faculty lists
  • alphabetize
  • we do not check these lists; you are responsible for accuracy
  • you should enter faculty only once their appointment is fully approved by the Provost's Office
  • if appointed mid-year ... Mary Sue Professor (effective Autumn Quarter)
