Diploma Holds

Please note that diplomas will be distributed only if you have satisfied all your University academic and financial obligations.

If you have any unmet obligations to the University, you will not receive a diploma until the obligation is fulfilled.

Diploma Distribution:

If you have a balance due on your student account, please make sure your student account is paid in full to ensure that you receive your diploma.  A financial hold will be placed on all past due balances and will prevent you from receiving your diploma. 

Email communications are sent to all students with past due balances informing them when a financial hold will be placed.  You can also view all of your holds on your Student page in Axess.  The deadline to pay your balance for spring conferral candidates is the Wednesday prior to Commencement.  If your balance is paid in full after the deadline your diploma will be  mailed.

How to order your diploma after your hold has been released

To order your diploma after your hold has been released submit this Service Request.

  • By submitting this request your diploma will be ordered and mailed.
  • You will receive an email with tracking information once your diploma has been ordered and mailed.
  • If you are receiving more than one degree, indicate each degree in this request.
