Important Information Regarding COVID-19

For quickest response to an issue, please submit a ServiceNow Ticket to the Student Services Center. If you prefer to talk to an SSC Specialist, we offer advising sessions via Zoom by appointment. SSC specialists are also available for live chat from LiveChat Monday – Friday, 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. via the Service Now portal.

Beginning October 23, 2011 the following default “privacy settings” are applied to student information upon admission to Stanford University:

Billing - Always Private
Home  - Always Private
Mailing - Stanford Only
Stanford Directory (local) - Stanford Only
Student Stanford Residence - Private
Campus Work - Stanford Only

Mobile - Public
Home - Always Private
Stanford Directory (local) - Stanford Only
Stanford Student Residence - Stanford Only
Campus Work - Public

Primary - Public
Secondary - Public

Personal Information

* Birth Date - Stanford Only
* Birth Place - Stanford Only
* Marital Status - Stanford Only

* Class, Degree, Major, Minor, Prior Institutions, Active Terms - Public
* Photo ID - Public

Once matriculated, students with an active SUNETID can change their Privacy Settings in Axess. See the Axess for Students webpage for further instructions.
